Happy New Year!
With the longer days and warmer conditions of the new year comes exponential growth in the hop yard!
Our young hop bines are progressing well up their trellising with some varieties already setting flowers and cones. We continue to hand weed and mulch the rows within the hop yard and our drip irrigation schedule has changed to address the dry, warmer conditions.
We have had some craft beer enthusiasts participate in a private hop yard tour too which has been an exciting opportunity for us to offer during the growing season when they are at their most impressive.
As this is our first year we're unsure of when harvest will be (Mid February to early April is our guess), but what we can assure you of is we're working hard to make sure our crop the best it can be in its first year knowing that it will only get better over the years to come.
